Summary
- Salix purpurea (willow) is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine as an analgesic.
- Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to:
- Relieve symptoms of headaches.
- Alleviate symptoms of common colds and flu and relieve mild fever.
- Reduce mild rheumatic aches, pains, and symptoms of mild arthritis and mild osteoarthritis.
- Free from added gluten, soya beans, milk, lactose, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, crustacea, corn, egg, or sesame seeds.
- Contains no artificial sweeteners, colours, or flavours.
- Suitable for vegans.
Dosage
- Adults: Take 1–2 tablets twice daily.
Warnings
- Not suitable for children under 5 years.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation or if you are planning to become pregnant.
- Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
- Avoid use while on warfarin therapy unless advised by a medical professional.
Formula (per tablet)
- Salix purpurea (Willow bark) ext. (stem bark): Equivalent to 400 mg dry extract, containing Salicin (60 mg).
